|Beer: The Experience||
OAK pervades the senses from nose to finish with smoke. It does itself justice by masking the usual alcohol breadth of the Old Guardian. Smoke lingers long and hard, coating the palate through the next sip. It beckons for something fatty to cut it, like a luscious burger toppe with fresh cut bacon.. This is one of the few Barley Wines that can hold its own mid meal instead of being relegated to strong cheeses and decadent desserts. Overall another stellar offering from Stone. As though anything less should be expected.
